Trash is not collected on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Trash bags and containers shall not exceed 50 pounds per bag or container. 
Trash must be securely tied in plastic bags or standard trash cans and placed at the
curb  by 6:00 am on collection day.

Newspapers and magazines must be bundled in paper grocery bags or tied with heavy twine. 

Glass, aluminum, plastic types #1 and #2 and ferrous metal food cans should be rinsed out and
placed in bags, cardboard boxes or plastic bins for recycling.  Recyclables must be at the curb by
6:00 am on Tuesdays (recycle day).

Brush must be cut in 4 foot lengths with limbs no larger than 6 inches in diameter.  Brush should
be tied in bundles no larger than 2 feet in diameter and placed at the curb.  A handling charge is
assessed to homeowners who place more than 5 bundles of brush on the curb for any single pickup.

The trash company collects cardboard/cardboard boxes as part of recyling but not with the
regular trash.  This change is mandated by Fairfax County.

Call the company to arrange for collection of furniture, appliances and large bulky items or special
pick-up or Fridays.
